You would have to re-use a drive from somewhere.
 
a 960 with 4GBs is close enough. If not better because it actually has 4GBs as opposed to 3.5GBs of the 970.

The GTX 960, not even with 10gb vram would come close to GTX 970, it will be 30 to 45% slower/less powerful than this card.
