BACK STORY: HP Pavilion DV7-3067nr laptop was brought to me for keyboard replacement and standard optimization. Keyboard was replaced without issues. Uninstalled some garbage programs, did a disk cleanup, installed anti-virus, checked for Windows Updates. Over 200 needed. Noticed it froze during about half way through. Couldn't move mouse and CTRL-ALT-DEL didn't yield anything. I waited hours hoping for it to resolve itself. Eventually, against all of my knowledge and instinct, I held down the power button.

SYMPTOMS: Computer turns on, fans work, etc. No boot, no POST, nothing but black on the screen. Caps lock and Num Lock blink twice repeatedly. Everything I've read says that this blink code is a BIOS problem.

TROUBLESHOOTING: I have removed everything (cd tray, ram, hard drive, laptop battery, and CMOS battery) for hours. I tried pressing on the power button for one minute, once with CMOS battery, once without.

Don't know what else to do since I can't enter POST!
Please help with any suggestions or something I have missed!

Hi,

Remove the RAM again, blow the empty ram slot, remove the dust and then with an eraser (pencil eraser) erase the golden connecter of the RAM on both the sides and below (which goes into the slot) after that clean with thin cloth again and insert it back, this should solve

Do u have on board graphics or a GPU installed too?

Nope. That didn't do it either. Still two blinks. :/
It's a pretty basic laptop, I don't think there is a GPU or graphics card.
Any other thoughts?
