Hi! I've taken advice from a previous post and updated the build list. Currently, my desktop computer is from 2009 and I've been looking to upgrade for a while now. I'm a newbie when it comes to this, This computer is primarily going to be used for gaming, web design, and programming. How can I improve on this build? Are there better parts out there that are cheaper?

If possible, for a price range of $500-$700, it would be awesome that this computer could run newer games at very high settings (1080p+, high fps, etc.).

**What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.**

- Gaming, programming, web design

**If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)**

I'm looking for high settings (1080+, high game settings, good frame rate, etc.)

**Budget**

$500-$700

**In what country are you purchasing your parts?**

USA

**Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). [Consider formatting your parts list.]

**Provide any additional details you wish below.**

- The case should work with this build, correct?
- Should I get a cheaper motherboard? Any recommendations?
- Should I opt for a SSD?

Solution
It looks ok. 2 sticks of ram to get dual channel support would be better. Sentey case supports the length of your 290 so you're ok there. Power supply choice is good. You could get H97 board since you chose locked CPU but it won't save much money, maybe 10 dollars or so. SSD would be nice but no room in budget for it.
