Hi Everyone

Recently I am having issues with bitcomet client as its always giving me a yellow light. So I figured out it was the port problem. After checking at canyouseeme.org every port of mine is closed.I have tried manual port forwarding, assigning a static ip to my pc, switching off windows firewall and router firewall, enabling dmz but nothing works.I am just frustated as hell.I have even tried creating inbound rules and outbound rules for ports in windows firewall but of no avail. I use Belkin n750 db router. And yes one last thing, My ISP is not blocking any ports.

Any help will be appriciated.
Thanks

The problem could be attributed to a double NAT issue. What device (modem) is provided by your ISP? If it is a modem/router combo, that would cause the problem you're describing.

There are decent guides at portforward.com that might be helpful to you.

I dont know anything about the double NAT issue. What do you mean by it? Also all I know is that my ISP provides me a cable which comes from the rooftop of my building. My only guess is that I get a cable from rooftop which might be connected to a modem up there as i use a PPPoE connection. This issue is driving me CRAZY

Cable from the rooftop...not a good sign. If your provider is a wireless ISP (WISP), there is likely another router on the rooftop. That will cause a double NAT (your connection goes through two routers). Unfortunately there is not much you can do to resolve this issue.

Having your PC connected directly to the cable from the rooftop may allow a green connection.

You can attempt to configure your Belkin as an access point, but this will likely result in no Internet access.

Sorry for the late response, was just too caught up in work. Anyways, No my ISP is not a WISP for sure. But i sure guess that there is a modem on the rooftop. Can that cause the NAT issue which i guess is the problem behind all this? Almost all the people use routers near my home and none of them face this issue except me.Also one more step that I took was troubleshooting which came up with "There is more than one device performing NAT on this machine". Any ideas? and thanks for sticking this long with me.

Certain applications do not work well when there is more than one router performing NAT (the one on roof and your own Belkin). You might not be able to resolve this unless you connect your computer directly to the wall outlet or configure your Belkin as an access point as described in the wireless forum sticky, but even that is not certain to fix the problem.
