Asus B85-pro gamer vs Asus Maximus VI HERO!

Guys i'm going to build a new pc i'm going with i5- 4690k with gigabyte r9 280x 3gb ,, can't choose a right mobo from these two: Asus B85-pro gamer and Asus Maximus VI Hero! tell me which is better and i will upgrade my mobo after atleast 1.5 to 2 years! So which is best for gaming? Help me out ASAP! thanks

You may need a BIOS update with Z87 or B85. With Z97, it should work out of the box.

Ideally , you should pair the i5 4690k with a Z97 or Z87 motherboard so you have overclocking as an option for the cpu.
You don't really need the VI Hero as your motherboard as there are cheaper motherboard such as the Asus Z97-A or MSI Gaming 5 which are decent Z97 motherboards.

But i saw lots of threads regarding problems which Msi Mobos have , i think asus is considered best of them all thats why going for asus! so do i need bios update if i choose z87 or b85 mobo?
