GTX 780 SLI majorly decreasing performance

Recently got GTX 780 SLI, but I found that performance has been worse instead of better. For example, on "The Witcher 3", I get 60fps solid on medium with SLI disabled, however, once I enable it, I get 40-45fps on medium. What have I done wrong? How can I fix this?

What drivers are you using? No offense but are you playing a legit copy of the game? Are you playing on 4k? PC specs? What version of the game are you playing? Provide more info

It is a legit copy
Not playing on 4k
OS: Win 8 64x
CPU: AMD FX-8320
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Mobo: MSI 970 GAMING
GPU: 2 GTX 780s
Game Version: 1.06
