I am thinking my dell 570 PSU (HP-P3017F3) may be going bad . I tested it outside of the computer by jumping the green to black wire ( no load except for the fan) and found the voltages to be: red;5.16v . Yellow ;11.98v . orange; 3.35v. Brown (P2) 11.98v . The voltages seem ok ,but it was not under load and is an intermittent problem . Many shutdowns and reboots etc . Even in safe start up mode . The computer has over 4,500 hours on it according to the scan I ran . Never has shown an overheating history . All my hardware scans have passed . Any experience or advice would be much appreciated . Maybe help with choosing a new one .

A little more info about this . Dell 570 Inspiron (Circa late 2010 ). HP-P3017F3 PSU is rated @ 300 watts . No gaming or heavy duty use except when virus scanning etc. Resource monitor shows enough memory left over, 3G total RAM . AMDII 240 CPU . Rarely use the DVD . All responses welcome , Thanks .
