i am having some trouble with my pc basically when ever i try to play a game i get about 5mins then it shuts off any clue?here

I am having some trouble with my pc basically when ever i try to play a game i get about 5mins then it shuts off any clue?

i think that its over heating,but i recently purchased a new fan and i am still expering the same problem, here are the specs

AMD Athlon X4 760K
8GB DDR3 ram
GeForce GTX 660
Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H Motherboard

Okay, first, can you test it by opening up your game and running core temp or hwmonitor in the background? If it goes past ~75C when playing games, then that's overheating. First try turning off turbo core by downloading AMD Overdrive (http://www.amd.com/en-us/markets/game/downloads/overdrive).

Then, open it and find Clock/Voltage. Then you want to go to Turbo Core control and disable Turbo Core.

Then relaunch your game and try again. If it keeps happening, then get a new cooler.

I'd recommend a CRYORIG H7.

open task manager and open it on full mode then check the disk usage if its on 100 % then kick win+r key then type Services.msc then searce for superfetch disable it thats it
