Hey guys, I'm playing games like CS:GO and others on this current setup.

i5-4570 @3.2ghz
8GB of Kingston DDR3 1600 RAM
Cooler Master 700W-PSU
Gigabyte H87M-D3H Motherboard
Geforce GT 630 GPU
LG 22EN43 60hz 1920x1080p Monitor
Cooler Master K350 Case

I'm planning to upgrade my system this summer in order to play high-end games with near maxed-out graphics. These games include Witcher 3 and Fallout 4, and a couple of others. I'm stuck at a dilemma - upgrade to a MSI GTX 970 GPU and a ASUS VG248QE monitor or just straight up upgrade to a Gigabyte GTX 980 GPU and stick with my current monitor. Some problems I need to have solved are-

-Whether or not the GPU will fit in my case
-Whether or not the GPU will bottleneck my CPU

I also need to upgrade some other things, such as the webcam and headset. My budget is around $650 for the whole overhaul. I need some input on which option would be better given my current build/budget and what it would be like after I upgrade. Is the monitor necessary? Which option would be worth more? What headsets and webcams would you recommend that would provide good quality? Any graphics card that would suit my situation better? Any input is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Any GPU will fit in your case as long as your GPU is shorter than 315mm.

I would get the 980. 60 Hz is good enough. You can max many games at 1080p with the 980. I would actually get the 980 TI, it's $650 and is like a titan.

But if you actually do need to upgrade your headset and webcam, just get the Logitech G430 headset. It's great for ~50 dollars. Any webcam should do you fine.
