this i my first time having 2 monitors in 1 PC windows 7. how do i set this up with only 1 keyboard and a mouse? i've looked it up and a kvm switch or synergy is needed. which is the best option here? help please.

Solution
Use the "Identify monitors" It is possible that the "1" and "2" displays are just not logically arranged like they are physically. You can drag the two displays relative to each other on the Change Display Settings screen. It could be that you move your mouse off the left side of the left screen it will show up on the right side of the right screen.....

With one PC you just need to extend your desktop to the second monitor. You should be able to right click on the desktop background, go to personalize, Display, Change Display Settings. Set the "Multiple Displays" to Extend these displays.

thanks for your time kanewolf. its been on ''extend these displays'' ever since i plugged the 2nd monitor in. so why cant my mouse go through my 2nd monitor? the desktop background on my 1st monitor is displayed on my 2nd monitor so we know it works. but my mouse and keyboard on the other hand is the problem.
