Looking for a laptop for senior year of highschool and for college. Ive narrowed it down to these 2 laptops. However, the razer blade has only about 256 GB since I would be getting the FHD version. However, with the MSI Ghost, it has a lot more storage with that additional HDD. Also, Razer is 14 in and the MSI is 15.6 in and which would be better for college? I was thinking the 14 in Blade would be better since I would probably be carrying it around a lot. The 970M on these will last me through college, as I game quite a bit now, but in college I wont be gaming as much. Price doesn't really matter, I can get either for $2000 or less.

Also: the MSI can be gotten with an Intel 5700HQ or 4720HQ but the Razer Blade is only a 4720HQ. Which one is better? I know the 5th Gen is like 4% better, but does it really make that much of a difference?
Thanks in advance.

The difference between 5700HQ and 4720HQ won't be as much, but it's an improvement nonetheless. I would prefer the bigger screen as i suppose you would game a lot on these laptops, so bigger is better. And the GS60 comes with a numpad, which is a great extra for gaming (i often find myself attaching a pc keyboard to my laptop while gaming only for the numpad, which is a hassle). It's also a bit lighter, but it won't be noticable (1.96 vs 2.02). It also comes with bigger storage, but whether you need it is entirely up to you. Edit: can you confirm whether these two use SSDs? Because if the GS60 doesn't come with an ssd then you get to choose one: bigger storage or better performance.

The Razer Blade, on the other side, has a way better, simpler design imo. Also, if i'm not mistaken, it comes with a touchscreen, doesn't it? And.. it's Razer! Great for showing off to your mates, them macbooks can't even compare to your mighty Blade. lol

Pick your poison ;)

I am on the same problem, but i really like the design of the razer blade and i know thet msi ghost pro its a little better, but i dont like the logo and the large size of the msi. And my question is, its the razer blade FHD worth it? or the 8 gb ram its not enough?. I would use it for gaming and for working with Dreamweaver , Photoshop, etc .
