hi guys I am planning to buy a new Storage device. as I know SSD is faster than HDD.

SSD is more expensive so I plan to still use my old HDDs.

Will my PC became faster if I install my OS in the SDD and I will install other programs such as games in my HDD?

Yup, that's the usual advice. Get a 120GB SSD at minimum, 240-256GB SSD if you can afford it (they're only 30-40% more expensive and you get twice the capacity). Then put the OS and a few key programs on the SSD, with everything else on the HDD.

You get all the benefits of boot and login times, updates, etc, but plenty of space with mechanical storage.

ah ok thanks guys but what if I bought a 500gb SSD and I installed my OS only in there? then all games are just in HDD.

(I got 23 Pieces of 320gb HDD from the junkyard all of those are working not including my old 500gb HDD)

Recommended setup:

1) SSD-> Windows/apps (possibly a few games like SKYRIM that have frequent load points if you have a 250GB SSD).

2) HDD-> Steam folder for most games, downloads, backup image of C-drive etc..

STEAM setup:
a) Install to Windows drive like normal
b) ADD a Steam folder to your HDD (you can have one per drive)
c) When you install games choose the HDD folder instead (i.e. "E:\Steam")

Steam. MOVING GAMES:
a) backup game in Steam
b) Delete game
c) Restore game but choose folder of drive (such as moving from SSD to HDD to free up space)
d) Delete backup (I always make one for a game I intend to MOD though)
e) Verify game content

Or he could get 2 850 EVOS and raid them:

Or here is a 500gb SSD: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz75e500bam

I think it is best if he either raids, or gets just one SSD. The reason I have two is because at first I bought a 120gb, then got an 850 evo for a gift. I wouldn't normally buy to in any circumstance

120GB SSD will be enough for your OS and a few games and what not. But you will be juggling stuff around.

240GB SSD will be plenty for your OS and word files and more along with several games. Minimal shuffling needed.

500GB SSD Actually is what I have and I have everything on it. But I don't have music or movies etc. so my needs are minimal.

The larger the SSD is the faster it is, up to 500GB that is.

The larger the SSD is, the greater its lifespan is.

Go with the Samsung 850 EVO. It has three bits per cell for low cost. Due to its stacked technology, the cells are rather large, 40nm so you have good reliability. Also it is about as fast as anything else.

In short. If you have minimal storage needs, just get a SSD, a 500GB or even a 1TB.

If more storage is needed, get a 240GB SSD and a HDD.
