I have a Seagate GoFlex desk. I have a "cannot run code 10" on disk manager. I have run the Microsoft fixit and it failed to correct the issue. I have verified the install driver is up to date. And followed Seagates recommended fixes, and they are basically saying to buy a new one. I dont mind getting a new hard drive, but is there a way to recover the thousands of movies I have stored on it.

Hey there, woodsrunner777.

Even if the installed driver is up to date, have you tried uninstalling the HDD from Device Manager and then reinstalling the driver, to see if it's recognized properly afterwards. Also, try the HDD with a different USB cable (shorter than 12") and a different computer, to see if the same thing happens again.
I'd suggest that you try accessing it via Linux Live CD/USB to see is if you can get to your files or try some of the data recovery programs from this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html

Hope that helps.
