Soon I am planning to build a PC that I will mainly be using for gaming, browsing and homework. I live in and am buying parts from Australia. The budget is around $1500aud, ($1,100 usd) including the monitor. Here are the specs:

I will be playing at 1080p and hoping to play current games on ultra settings at no less than 40 fps minimum. I would be fine with playing at medium though in 5 years.

I plan to play a variety type of games like shooters, rpgs and strategy games

I know that I could of gone with the i5 4690k but that would of cost at least $100 for the cpu plus a decent cooler.

Obviously I won't be overclocking the cpu but I will moderately overclock the video card.

The reason I got one 8gb ram stick is so that I can buy another one once when I upgrade to 16gb.

I am not using an HDD but an SSHD. Apparently, these are much quicker than reqular HDDs but a bit slower than SDDs. But I will be able to save a lot of money and put everything on one hard drive.

I can also buy a Zotac Video card for about $440, including shipping and Batman Arkham Knight, Would you suggest I buy this instead?

I am not able to use ethernet since the PC will be in my room so I'll have to use wireless instead. My room is about 10-15m away from the router. Will the adapter be good enough? Keep in mind that I have about 0.4mb or download speed (Straya')

I was recommended by one of the staff in a store this pre-built PC that costs $2000.

Because of the video card I'm guessing that it's a rip-off. I'm hoping that gaming wise this build will deliver much better performance while saving $500 (including the monitor!). Would this be true?

Alright, I've decided to upgrade the case and mobo (I really dig the design and the extra usb headers), wireless adapter and changed the ram to 2 sticks since I can now have more sticks in.
