Hi there,

So I'm looking to build myself a new gaming PC. On a budget of £400, but wanting to spend as little as possible if I can. I've already got an i5-2400 and plenty of spare RAM lying around so there's no worries about that (so it's £400 i'm willing to spend on top of this). I'm just a little bit confused with whether this motherboard I'm looking at will be compatible with the GPU I'm looking at.

The GPU being:
R9 290

The mobo being:

According to pc-specs.com, they should be compatible, but it looks like the GPU might be a bit big for the board?

Perhaps I'm being too tight by spending little money on the mobo?

Thanks in advance.

There won't be any problem with the motherboard and the card. But I'd measure the room inside your case to be sure the long card will fit.
There's really no need to spend more on the motherboard. You're not going to be OC'ing the i5-2400.

Ah perfect thank you!
I'll double check the length of the card with the case I intend to buy.
