Samsung 850 EVO SSD Software?

I'll be getting the above SSD soon to install my OS onto. There's probably better options, but too late now. I couldn't help but notice that it comes with a disk, and I want to know is any of the software on it actually necessary for use as a desktop drive, or is it just cloning software or other stuff I don't care about?

Solution
There is the cloning application, and the Samsung Magician.
Cloning not needed if you are doing a clean install.
Samsung magician should be installed for testing and future diagnostics. Not required, though.

There are two main pieces of software:

1. Magician: This is virtually necessary, as it allows you to properly configure the SSD (e.g., RAPID and other options).
2. Migration: This is only necessary if you have your OS/programs on an existing drive and wish to migrate them to the new SSD (so you don't have to re-install everything from scratch).

I got one recently and am really impressed with the Magician software. In fact; that very useful inclusion is a compelling reason in itself to get a newer (840Pro/Evo or 850Pro/Evo) Samsung SSD.

Or you could just set it up like any SSD w/o Magician but why?

That's good to know. It's my first SSD, so I wasn't too sure.
Also, before I go messing about with disabling the OS and whatnot (someone else made the partitions for me, which is why they're odd), would I need to deactivate my current key or anything like I asked here?

No 'deactivation' needed. You just need to remove it from the old drive, after you have it on the new drive.
