I'm currently thinking about building a pc with around 1000$ to 1300$ in canadian. I looked around for a few hours and came up with this and was wondering if you guys could give me advice as such if the cooling is good enough or if the rig looks fine since i've heard some horror stories about this specific processor overheating a lot along with this graphic card. I would much rather be safe than sorry. Also if you guys know more options to optimize the price/performance.I'm not asking anyone to search for me, but if something comes to mind I would gladly hear it since it's my first time building a pc. The pc will be mainly for gaming and I hope for it to last for at least 5-8 years. I do not mind not being able to play on ultra, but having more than 30 fps and high quality is a must. However, I am just looking for a long lasting machine(5-8 years) that will do the job since i mostly play easy stuff to run such as cs go blade and soul league, I think it's a good goal with the pc I want to build.

THE RIG:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU cooler: Cooler Master RR-HT2-28PK-R1 54.8 CFM Sleeve
Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

Memory: Kingston Beast 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video card: XFX Radeon R9 290X 4GB Double Dissipation Video
Card

Power supply: Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Case: Thermaltake Commander MS/I Snow Edition (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

I've changed the processor & mobo to intel. It'll last longer.

The Cooler is optional. It just gives you an option to overclock. The processor comes with a stock cooler.

You don't need 16 GB, and you could always add another 2 sticks if you wanted to. You can though, if you really want to.

I've lowered the SSD space and HDD space. I've replaced the HDD with a SSHD. You can always add more hard drives if you wanted.

For the video card, I replaced it with a GTX 970, as the 290 & 290X tend to be hotter than most cards, and the GTX 970 performs slightly better than the 290X in most games.

I replaced the PSU with a SeaSonic 520W, as the Corsair CX series isn't very reliable. The SeaSonic is a lot more reliable. Different PSU brands made my SeaSonic include Antec and XFX.

For the case, it doesn't really matter, as long as you like it.

Thanks for your help! This looks totally awesome, but i have a few questions for you if you don't mind.

1: what is the hybrid thing about the new hard drive you linked me ? does it mean it's almost as fast as a ssd ?
2: maybe the first question would answer this but I think i really need 250 gb of SSD.
3: if i want the ram to last for long shouldn't i go for ddr3 2133 ?
4: if i take the 520w power supply, am i not going to be short on watts if i want to upgrade later on ?
Thanks a lot for your help and could you look at this and tell me what you would change?

If you don't like the motherboard/graphics card could you tell me why ?

Here, you can throw in another 2 sticks for an additional 8GB of ram. You probably wont need 16 until like 4 or 5 years.

And the mobo's a little too much for this build.

The graphics card, it's more worth to get it from a retailer like MSI, Asus, etc. The only pro about the reference card is probably the look. The price isn't worth, though.

Thank you for your answer, yet again. This is what I have right now:https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/niquer123/saved/#view=xMNFf7
Case is subject to change.

1: are you sure there's no difference between asus and nvidia ? I googled it and couldn't find comparisons.
2: is this enough for light streaming ?
3: I will probably get a better thermal paste than the one they give you with the cpu. Even then, do I need a better cpu cooler (evo 2012) if i want to overclock it?

1. Hahaha, NVIDIA is the company that created the GTX 970. ASUS, MSI, etc. are just different companies that produce the same model card. They're basically all the same. The only difference of the companies is the look, cooling, and sometimes clock speed. You won't really notice the clock speed difference, because it's usually so small.

Think of it as NERF selling their products to Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, etc. Except Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us are making the Nerf guns, to sell for a cheaper price.

2. It should be enough for light streaming.

3. No, the 212 EVO should do you well for maybe almost 1 gHz, .5 gHz for 24/7 use. If you are going to overclock to the max, then yes you do need a better cooler.

You don't really need to overclock the i5 right now. You won't notice the difference. Do it when the warranty is done, as overclocking voids the warranty.
