I have a new computer build. Specs are the following:

Windows 7 64-bit
AMD Athlon X4 860K
8GB RAM
4GB MSI R9 270X Graphics Card

I've tried installing both outdated, new and beta drivers for the R9 270X and any time it attempts to boot past the Windows Logo, it will black screen and not make it to the login screen when the card is enabled. When the card is disabled via device manager, the computer will boot and be able to be logged in to fine. In addition, booting to safe mode is what has allowed me to be able to get on at all since that disables the display drivers as well. Any ideas on getting past this black screen? Thanks.

CMOS Clear. Uninstall whatever driver you have. Install the latest WHQL driver, not the beta, not what came on the disk. From the sounds of it, you have screwed around in your OS heavy handedly and might end up needing a clean install to fix it.
