my PC currently uses 1 of this

I found 2 of these (from my old computer)

can I just put them in my computer?

Give them a try and see if they play starting closest to the CPU I'd go 2GB - 4GB - 2GB (slots 1-2-3

too bad, my motherboard (asrock fm2a55m-HD+) only has 2 ram slots..
I can't put 4gb + 2 gb, right?

u can actually, 2 + 4 or 4 + 2, try both which one worked...

Depends on what you do, with the additional DRAM it should help overall performance some, and more in multi-tasking

Yup, as Tradesman1 said it depends on the application/software ...

The one I noticed to have big benefit of having bigger/faster rams is with chkdsk (disk check)..
