What should i go for and what are the diffrences? I will play games mostly in 1080p and maybe 1440p on ultra setings . And i am trying to save some money by maybe going with 8 gb and 4690k . Tell me what you think guys .

For games specifically, you will see very little difference between 8GB of ram and 16GB, and between the two processors. The i5 and the 8GB is plenty, it won't hold you back, especially if you get a decent overclock.

8 GB of Ram and an I5 was ideal in 2012 however today it's just the best bang for your buck...

Today I7 and 16 GB of ram is the way to go however not needed for all titles.

If you play new AAA titles go with the latter however if you play starcraft, dota 2 than go with an I5 and 8 gb of ram configuration.,

Umm, go with 16 gbs of ram, black ops 3 RECOMMENDS 8 gbs, so if you want good frames, go with 16 not 8, plus the i7 4790k is more powerful but not by much, so for a budget build, go with option A, but if you want performance, option B is better. I recommend 16 gbs of ram, gtx 980, with an i5 4690k for a good balance.

I disagree, many new titles are benefiting from an i7 and 16 gb of ram...
