CPU causing computer to restart

My specs are
ASUS M5A78L-M/USB
AMD-FX8150
GTX 660 SC
550 w PSU
Transcend 4GB DDR3 1600 x4

It only restarts when im playing next gen games like far cry 4 and dying light. The CPU fan go's crazy fast then the computer restarts. Is it the GPU or the cpu?

thanks man. sorry bout before i couldnt find my thread so i asked again. do u think i should get the cpu water cooled?

You can. But you don't need one. And especially if you're not overclocking the CPU.

You could get a 120mm or 240mm All In One CPU liquid cooler or a good air cooler eg Noctua NH D15 for overclocking.

But if you're not overclocking, a better air cooler is often best eg Coolermaster Hyper 2112 evo or Cryorig H7.
