Does a 4GB 800MHZ DDR3 ram co-exist with another 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 ram in a laptop ?

My laptop is having a 4GB 800MHZ DDR3 ram as single piece. I would like to add one more blade to increase the capacity. I have bought another 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 ram to add up. Do the two pieces co exist ? If not, I want to return it before opening.

No way of telling without trying them, even getting another 4GB of 800 has no guarantees of playing together
