I've always built my own computers. Every 3 years or so I'd hop onto newegg, order all the parts, throw together the parts (sometimes frustratingly), and I'm good to go. I'm going to build a new rig because all these awesome games like Fallout 4 are coming out. However, a couple friends of mine grabbed a rig from ibuypower and are very satisfied with it. I initially dismissed them with the same old comebacks like "they cut corners" or "they use junk parts" or even "it's simply cheaper to build my own". They said to take a look and trust them.
I checked it out and threw together a rig that had the same parts I would've bought myself. All name brand stuff including a corsair PSU and so on. They had free shipping and a promo code that took off 5% and it literally came to about the same cost as if I built it myself. All quality parts, put together and ready to go the second it shows up to my house.
My question is, why in the world wouldn't I do this? It seems to easy. The PC Elitist Snob in me screams that I'm going against all that I know is true but I could totally skip the time and sometimes frustration (like doa parts and what not) that comes with building it. What am I missing and what do I not know about??
