Getting a warning on pcpartpicker "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs." Just wondering if the FX 6300 and MSI 970 GAMING ATX AM3+ Motherboard will be compatible

Solution
they will be more then compatible, as fx 6300 is same wattage as the fx 8320e, and both will overclock to 4.8 without much issues on that board. no bios update will be needed

I have that same setup. I didn't know about the mobo BIOS update, I'll have to look into it.
The AMD 6300 works great at stock settings, but I can go absolutely no more than 400MHz over the clock, or everything shuts down on me. I wonder if the BIOS update will help.

Currently running stable at:
AMD FX 6300 at 3.9GHz (19.5 multiplier) with Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti SC at only +50MHz GPU and +25MHz memory.
on MSI 970 Gaming

Guys, I have the same config (MSI 970 Gaming + AMD FX 6300 + CM Hyper 212x + Nvidia GT 610) ...
Powered by iBall 450W PSU... my system keeps restarting even without overclocking... Core temperatures are OK...
Is the power supply enough? What is the minimum recommended wattage for this config?
