Hey guys,
I want quite sure where to post this but recently my laptop has dropped in performance. I have a Sager NP8652-S with a Nvidia 980M 4 GB and a i7-4720HQ Processor. I was playing Far Cry 3 yesterday (one of my favorite games) and i noticed that on ultra I was only getting about 35-40 fps while normally I got a solid 60 fps. I had updated an Intel graphics driver right before this and instantly I thought that the update was the source of my problems. However, I rolled back the driver update but the game still ran poorly. I also tested some other games and most seem to be negatively affected by approximately 20 fps per game. I contacted Sager tech support, which I have had to do before because my motherboard burnt out literally the day I got it, and they advised me to run 3DMark to compare to scores they had taken before giving it to me. I tested twice and received an 8271 on Firestrike 1.1. After that they began to just go over material that I had told them before and essentially wasted almost the entire day being relativity no help. Essentially my question is, Does anyone know what could be causing this problem, and how should I solve it?
Another Example: I was just testing Arma 3 and the framerate seems to be locked around 40 fps no matter what I change (Ultra to Low)
