Title says it all. I have the EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX2.0, I don't have it overclocked, it's temps are fine, ran 3DMark fine, runs all games fine from what I can tell. However, in CS:GO, at completely random times the entire game will just freeze then the sound will loop over and over until I minimize and wait for the sounds to stop looping, then I can maximize and the game is fine again.

I have an i5-4690k VERY conservatively OC'ed to 4.3GHz with ~1.2V and 8GB of 1600MHz RAM.

I've stress tested my memory, my CPU, my GPU, everything and it all turns up with no errors so now I'm assuming it's yet another nVidia driver problem but can anyone confirm? I've tried the newest drivers, 344.75, and at least 2-3 different drivers and the problem still occurs.

Thank you.

I verified the game cache and there were 2 files missing so I'll test later, but others with this same issue have said they verified their game cache and that didn't help them.

Was playing it and it happened again..

However, I found out if I instantly ctrl alt del and open task manager, then tab back to the game, the stuttering/freezing stops. Does that help at all? I have no clue why that works, but it does.

I've found this too, my game freezes completely, ctrl alt del and tab back in and it's back, usually after I've died though.

Any ideas then? We have the same processor but different builds it seems. Is this a random ass bug that only affects a small amount of players? This is a completely brand new PC build, only 2 days old, and CS:GO is the ONLY game that does this or has any issue whatsoever for that matter.

My friends game froze today, I think he has a 780ti and 4790k, but my other friend has a 970 and 4790 and has no issues what so ever. I've repaired the game but it had no effect. I've tried limiting the fps to 60, without vsync and it still does it, I thought it was my card because all it does is crash, it's degrading fast, I'm getting a new one soon, I wonder if the issue will persist.

I've done so much shit to try and fix it and the only thing I could think of would be uninstalling ESET NOD32 AV, so I went ahead and did that but haven't played since. Will post back if I'm still experiencing issues.
