I'm looking to build an APU system (FM2+) here pretty soon. I'm strongly considering a MicroATX case, but I'm not sure my existing CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ will fit it.

I haven't picked out the case yet, but I'm hoping a Hyper 212 EVO would work, depending. If not, can anyone recommend a low-profile alternative for the FM2+ socket in a MicroATX case? (The APU in question is the AMD A10-7850K.)

Thanks in advance! :)

M-ATX is a good format for smaller cases.
I have used the Silverstone TJ-08E and PS07 cases and they are as good as it gets.
The front intakes are strong and filtered.
They hold a full sized air cooler like the noctua NH-D14. A hyper212 will certainly fit.

Why do you want a APU?
They are a good deal for what you get, but the big negative is that you have no reasonable upgrade options.
What you buy is what you will have... forever.

Thank you for your response, Geo! :)

I've simply become intrigued with APU technology, and considering my very minimalist computer system, I'm hoping to ditch my video card in favor of the APU processor. I feel I can justify this because...well, mainly, I don't play PC games. That's that story. :)

I've read several reviews that the AMD APU's are better than my CPU (four years old) and may be a significant step up...and one less piece of hardware (in the video card).

By the way, the link you posted for the SilverStone case is one of the cases I'm interested in for this build. I guess it's the right-side access and upside-down motherboard installation I'll have to get used to. LOL
