So guys I need help. I just built my first computer,

Specs:

A10-7870k
Asus A88XM-E
SP 2400 2x4

Before building I read that APU's benefit greatly from faster RAM frequencies so I bought the SP 2400mhz. My problem is that the mobo defaults my RAM to 1600 yet it says it can take up to 2400(o.c) 2133, 1866, 1600. I really would like to at least get it to run at 2133 yet when i go into my bios and change the profile over to D.O.C.P (2133) my computer won't boot correctly. The default voltages is 1.48 and when i change it to 2133 it goes to 1.65. I'm new to Tom's but from what I've seen, a lot of you guys are experts, please help a neophyte out! Thanks!

Solution
Set it to 2400 under DOCP as you did, the 1.65 DRAM voltage is correct, next in the BIOS look for the CPU/NB voltage and set it to 1.3. for stabilizing. If no joy there, may have to OC your A10 a bit or drop the DRAM data rat to 2133 or even 1866

Hey tradesman thanks for replying !

Here's the link to my ram to be honest I'm not sure what your question is. I know my cpu voltage usually sits below 1.0v idle and that I did a cpu-z test and it says my ram memory is dram is at 800mhz so ddr3 is 1600 if I'm not mistaken ?
