When I turn on my computer I get the ASUS welcome screen but the OS (windows 7 home) never loads - it just goes to a black screen.
I tried to create a system recovery disk but Bios didn't seem to see the hard drive.
ASUS support staff determined pretty quickly over the phone that it was an OS issue but I'd like to make sure since Win7 is expensive.
From what I can tell the physical connections between the hard drive and motherboard are fine.
