Just got a into overclocking after buying a 212plus. I was thinking of buying some better fans for the CPU cooler and filling in the spots on my case.

I could use some suggestions for what fans to buy and where to put them.

For the cooler I was thinking http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181025

If I'm not mistaken any 120mm fan should fit on the cooler due to the brackets mounting on using the screw holes.

For the case (Antec Three Hundred Two) I was thinking of getting 2 more fans for the front, leaving my spare fan from the CPU cooler to put onto the side slot.

I currently have two Gigabyte 970 G1s in SLI and I'm wondering if it's a good idea to have another fan blowing directly towards them, could it mess with their airflow?

Also I have room for a fan behind my motherboard near the CPU, I've been searching around for opinions of having a fan there. I would be interested in hearing what you guys think about it.

For the fans I don't mind spending $40, maybe $50 total.

Solution
For cooling, I like to have the front fans be the only intakes behind fan filters.
What air comes in will eventually go out.
That gives you a cleaner case.
For your case, use the two available 120mm spots for your intakes.
Start by using the two supplied fans as intakes in front.

If you don't mind a bit of noise, use 2 fans with higher rpm than your stock fans.

Use only one fan at the rear to direct airflow.
If the exhaust fan is too strong, you will draw in dust from other openings.
That will negate and disrupt the clean airflow.
None at all for exhaust may be ok.
