Should I upgrade or buy another computer?

So this is my situation. I want to run games such as Arma, Rust, and games like DayZ, but my computer isn't running it good enough. I have a HP Pavilion P6240f. I have upgraded and have installed a AMD 7750 graphics card to it along with a new power supply. I still have the stock processor which is a intel core 2 quad q8300, socket 775. With these specs I cannot run games at a steady fps. So, I was wondering if I should buy a new motherboard and a new processor, or should I save up for an entire computer.
thanks

I am in the same situation! But, I know what to do aha. Now you see, I'm guessing your PC is low end? Same as my current one. And I wanted to play the exact same games as you, but I can't... So I decided to try and upgrade my PC, and I went to choose to upgrade my graphics card first, but due to the bad CPU my graphics card's performance would be limited, due to the poor CPU. So then I decided I'd need a new
CPU, but then, I'd need a new motherboard, then more ram... Then a new PSU most definitely... Quite frankly, a waste of money and time. and it would cost a fortune. So what I've decided to do, is save up for roughly 400-500 pound and buy a gaming PC that is second hand. And these second hand PCs would have been worth roughly 1000 pound newly built, but sold second hand at around 300-500 pound. So I'd recommend not upgrading, and saving up for a good 300-500 pound and buy a gaming PC second hand, very cheap for its performance. Thank you
