Alright, so i've been reading it seems the usable memory is usually less than the installed one on both 32 and 64bit windows. However, something is very wrong with my PC. I'm not sure how much usable memory I had because I only realized this now when my PC started lagging hard on most games since a few days ago. I got 12GB installed memory but only 3, 96 are usable... I tried to do the reset on MSconfig but nothing changed. Any ideas?

I managed to fix this... I don't know what's wrong. I thought 2 out of 3 RAMs were broken. I was nearly 3 hours testing, tested 1 by 1, in every slot kept getting 3 beeps from my motherboard at the start-up. Right now, i got one 2GB RAM in the first slot, another 2GB RAM on the 2nd slot and finally the 8GB RAM on the third. To make my PC run I had to get the 2GB one alone, then i added the other 2... and now i got 11GB usable memory out of 12GB. Some sorcery going on here, no clue. Maybe this solution can help future weird cases like mine. Oh, i got all Corsair RAMs.
