Hello everyone.

I have recently(As of yesterday) run into a rather irritating problem with my PC.

Let me start from the beginning:

About 4 months ago, I was playing Warframe. The game glitched and froze my PC completely. I decided to hard shut it down and reboot that was due to my PC being utterly unresponsive!
Upon rebooting, my PC tries to windows update. Upon failing, it gives me the following error message:

"Failed to configure windows updates. Reverting changes..."

This took over 4 hours+ to complete, and would leave me with an unusable PC for more than half my allotted personal PC time. This, to me, was unacceptable. I looked online, and fixed it by turning off my PC's automatic update features.

This fixed the issue, until yesterday afternoon...

My wife had taken out the power cord, which she does almost every morning to use for her own PC(We only have one, the other got chewed in half by a bunny(Don't ask) ).

Upon getting to my PC and turning it on, I got this screen. Normally I just go to my login screen, type in my account password and go to my desktop. This screen is brand new.

I didn't think much of it, and decided to simply push 'continue startup'. No big deal, it seemed to start up completely normally. However, after getting into my computer, I discovered some very weird new glitches had happened. They were as follows:

1) When typing with friends in Skype, exclusively, sometimes, the text would randomly get completely delete it, the same way it does if you push ctrl+backspace, but the whole text instead of just a sentence. This seems resolved after a reboot, and has not resurfaced.

2) When playing video games requiring the arrow keys.
Pushing up+right = Works
Pushing down+right = Works
Pushing down+left = Works
Pushing up+left = DOESN'T WORK
It used to work flawlessly.

3) Alt Tabbing no longer works with the native left alt button. It only works with the right alt button. When checking each individual button(Alt or Tab), they work perfectly fine individually, but it seems my left alt button can no longer function when attempting to Alt Tab. It used to work flawlessly.

4) My Esc button works, but is extremely slow and takes a good 5-20 seconds to respond and bring up menus in video games. It used to be instant.

5) I cannot drag items of any kind on my computer anymore. Even something like icons on my desktop, or attempting to move the Newegg adds on the side of my screen while writing this. It'll simply flicker for a split second, as if it DID grab it, but instantly lets go. I figured the button must be broken, so I tried playing Counter Strike: Global Offense. Problem #2 persisted, but my full automatic carbine rifle fired without pause, confirmed my mouse button worked just fine.

6) In second life, you can spawn items by dragging them from your inventory, into the world. This used to happen instantly, but now, after this strange black screen shown above appears, it is slow just like the Esc button. It takes 5-20 seconds for it to work.

7) When I tried logging onto my Steam account, it claimed someone was already on my profile, and I had to log off that computer before attempting to log in on this PC. This scared me, and made my face run cold. I checked my Wireshark, nothing out of the ordinary. I turned on my VPN, and ran both Malwarebytes scan, AVG scan, and Avira full system scan. The total time took 11 hours 52 minutes and 11 seconds. Nothing alarming was discovered. No viruses, no malware, no hidden objects, no red flags were raised, no warnings received. My PC appeared clean.

So my final idea for this is that it must be a hardware problem? Possibly related to my Central Processing Unit? (Since it is the one listed on the startup black screen?)
Or, one of my friends suggested that maybe I have a faulty/glitchy operating system, and suggested I tried to reinstall Windows 8 from scratch. I would do this, and would have done this 4 months ago when the Windows Update issue surfaced, but when buying my PC, Best Buy failed to give me my OS disk. I've gone back there, but they cannot give me the disk for apparently my PC(Sold at a discount price) did not come with it.

Infuriated, I am now at a loss, and need you guys' help here <.< Any kind of assistance will be welcome!

EDIT: Oh, also, the diagnostics on that front page? I ran both a Startup Diagnostic, and the full system diagnostics. Both took a total of 4 hours and 25 minutes to complete. Both came up clean as a whistle. Every report I get from my PC says 'everything's fine mate!' yet I'm seeing that my PC is clearly NOT doing so well.

You can create your own Windows disk: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

However, you might need your product ID to get it....

I agree with your friend - it is probably a problem with the OS - either corrupted files or possibly a problem with your hard drive. Find out what brand name hard drive you have and go to their website and download the diagnostics for that drive - then give it a good test. If it passes - I would reload the OS.

How would I figure out what brand my hard drive is?

Another problem has surfaced!

the problems depicted above seemed to fix themselves, except my ESC key still doesn't work properly, but I dealt with that. At least the PC was functioning somewhat properly! o.o

It worked relatively well for about 3 days, before my PC would get stuck in an infinite loop of the :( screen complete with it saying a problem appeared and that some info is being collected and it will then restart.
After restart, the screen says "Preparing Auto Repair" which it is stuck on indefinitely. I found a video advising me of the holding f11 key, which worked up until I pushed the restore key. The restore key claimed that the disk was locked, and that I had to UNLOCK it and then try again.

I found a vague guide describing how to use the command prompt which gave me the following info when saying LIST DISK

jG620kN.jpg

As you can see, my info says that there is no information on the disk. I can't reach any further than this without error messages.

Did a hacker do this? I mean is it possible that these 'disk partitions' were deleted by some spiteful hacker or something? I don't see how that's feasible, but is it possible?

If anyone could give me some help figuring out what or how this has happened, that'd be fantastic. It just happened over night, one moment it's working, the next it isn't...
