http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JHT9ZL Thats the link to the build that im going to be buying within the next two weeks. I really want to keep the cpu cool, im not planning on overclocking and i heard the hyper 212 evo doesn't fit in the spec-01/02 so i'm going with this one because it does fit. First off, what do i do with the cpu cooler that comes with the i5-4690k? can i just throw it away in the recycling or garbage?? Also, do i need to get new thermal paste and how much do i apply to the cpu if i do need new thermal paste? which thermal paste should i get while still keeping it pretty cheap?

I like the H7 over the EVO, its a great little cooler.
I would keep the stock cooler, just in case. Its good to have around.

For the new cooler, you should apply your own paste, I use about a pea size and spread it out with a card. There are many ways to go about thermal paste application, and none of them are necessairly the "best" way to do it. So long as you get a thin even layer, it really dosent matter. You can google various methods and see what looks easiest for you.

As for the past itself, I personally like MX-4. Cheap, good performance, and no cure time.
