PC has extremely slow start up.

Hi, I've run into a very big problem. My pc has always been slow at booting up, because I don't have a SSD, and I'm using 90% of the 1TB of memory I have on my HDD. A couple of days ago I turned on my pc, and I noticed that it took about 15 minutes for my default windows background to load on my desktop. I eventually just turned off my monitor and went to bed, because I didn't want to wait, and left my pc running. Today I turned on my pc, and the volume controls had been disabled for some odd reason. My skype had been logged in, because I have it log in automatically, and I noticed I had a message. I responded to the message, but it took a while for it to send the message, and eventually it just didn't respond. I shut down my pc, and rebooted it, and when I logged into my desktop, it booted up very slowly, and I had gotten an error that Microsoft Windows had not responded, and it crashed. I did a hard reset, and booted again, normally, and my desktop and icons booted faster, but when I tried opening up programs (I waited maybe 5-8 minutes to try anything), things began to not respond. I opened up my task manager, and it said that my CPU and Physical Memory were not being used as much as I thought they would have. Usually it's because something is causing my CPU or RAM to work hard, but they were hardly used. I began to suspect that it might by my HDD, and there might be some corrupted files in there somewhere, but I'm not sure how to find out. I'm running my computer on Safe Mode, because I would never be able to open up Chrome to even visit a web page. I tried System Restore, but it said it had failed because of some Nvidia application. I'm at a loss of what I can do to keep this pc working, because it's old, but I won't have enough money to build another for several months.

Delete these entries in startup in ccleaner. They don't have to run

Yes HKLM:Run QuickTime Task Apple Inc. "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime

Yes HKLM:Run HP Software Update Hewlett-Packard C:\Program Files (x86)\Hp\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe

Uninstall this as well, it's malware

Yes HKCU:Run SearchProtection "C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Roaming\Search Protection\SearchProtection.EXE" /autostart

Disable this in ccleaner's options it can slow down booting into windows

Yes HKCU:Run CCleaner Monitoring Piriform Ltd "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner64.exe" /MONITOR

Uninstall AVG or Avast, you only need one of them. If AVG has been uninstalled use their removal tool to remove the rest of it

Uninstall this

No HKLM:Run vProt "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG Secure Search\vprot.exe"

Delete this entry

No HKLM:Run SunJavaUpdateSched Oracle Corporation "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe"

Uninstall Askbar

Uninstall these theyre out of date. You should only have the latest versions.

Then install the latest version/s

Get the offline installers

Run it click on scan wait for it finish. Click on clean then reboot when it says to reboot. Then run it again click on uninstall

Oops, didn't mean to hit the solution button. I got all that done, but it's still slow. I tried opening up Chrome while on normal mode, and it didn't open after 8 minutes. Even skype took a long time opening up, but it logged in. I did a chkdsk, and I'm getting a ton of errors when it's in read-only mode.

I'm not sure how to run that. I've been running a scan for hours, but it's still at 0% processed (but also going through lots of files), and it hasn't found any infected files.
