Ares

Trident

I'm confused over this 1.65v intel voltage issue, as well as if when I later upgrade, the higher speed ram will be useful (or even noticeable) I plan to keep this mobo / machine for 4-5+ years at least.

It's the last component in my system, please advise! I'm open to other brands but gskills seem so popular I thought I'd give them a go.

Ripjaw was an option originally, still is, but all my parts thus far coming from Ebuyer, so makes sense I just get it all from them.

System is here:

Your mobo takes DDR3-1066 / 1333 / 1600 / 1800 / 1866 / 2000 / 2133 / 2200 / 2400 / 2500 / 2600 / 2666 / 2800 / 2933 / 3000 / 3100 / 3200

Your CPU supports ddr3-1333. I think you could go to 1600 at least. And maybe 1866. But probably not 2400.

The G3258 is an entry level CPU. Not for "4-5+ years at least"

Sure hence why I said I'm upgrading the CPU at some stage, ' if when I later upgrade, the higher speed ram will be useful (or even noticeable) I plan to keep this mobo / machine for 4-5+ years at least.'

So Ares or RipjawI suppose it is, I'm really not sure what the difference is, but yes I'll be overclocking the cpu to at least 4.4 ghz.
