Hi there guys,

So my brother bought me a second Geforce GTX 960 the other day but I am struggling to get these two setup in SLI configuration.

I have no clue what so whatever how to do it, I've watched a few videos where they've said I need to delete some drivers "blah blah..." and install new Catalyst software but I'm unsure of what I actually have to do as nothing seems black and white.

If I do need to install new Catalyst software for my 960's can some provide me a dedicated link to the download.

Thanks,
Karl

I dont know about any of that but for my 2 980s all i had to do was install both the gpus in the desktop. I put the bridge on them two connecting them. Turned on my computer --> Nvidia control panel --> Configure Sli, Surround, PhysX --> Tick Maximize 3d performance.

Really this was of no help, because they're completely different cards, and by different companies.

I find it hard to believe that its that much different of a process.

Put your new card as the main one and the one you already have as the second one. Turn your computer on and download the required nvidia drivers that should show up own their own if you are using geforce expirience. Otherwise just look for them on the nvidia website.

Btw what motherboard are you using??

So... I don't get what you're getting out. That still doesn't explain how I setup the SLI configuration and my PC recognizing both GPU's

Msi Gaming 970, both are plugged in already with Nvidia drivers installed using GeForce Experience (ignore my comment before I was being retarded). But I believe my PC is only displaying on in GeForce Experience "My Rig" and in Corsair Link

I just read this so im not sure exactly which ur MB is

The 970 chipset does support SLI.
The MSI 970A-G43 does not support SLI.
The MSI 970A-G46 and the MSI 970 GAMING does support SLI.

(Nvm you obviously just have the MSI 970 GAMING as you mentioned)

Yeah okay i was thinking it was something like that which is why i actually asked for you to put the newer card in the first slot and the older card in the second as a way to make sure they are both correctly plugged in but it seemed like you were sure it wasnt the problem so i was thinking what else it could be.

Well im glad it worked out. I know the crappy feeling of getting something new and then experiencing problems with it.
