Cant over clock the cpu!

i have been trying to overclock my cpu the pentuim g3258 on a msi z87 g45 motherboard but even if I put it the the MHz up 0.1 the computer reset it after restart my specs are

mobo: msi z97 gaming 5 UPDATE
cpu: Pentium g3258
gpu: sapphire r9 280x
ram: 2x 4gb hyperx fury
psu: 600w evga
hdd: 650gb

Umm...Are you sure you have enough wattage is your PSU? Because the r9 280x uses 750 Watts of power.You have a 600 Watt.So get a 1000 Watt PSU.Also your MOBO might need an update to the BIOS in order to overclock the CPU.The CPU is actully newer than the board itself so try updatd BIOS if that doesn't you'll need to get a diffrent motherboard.

If you don't know don't answer that video caed uses 225 watts 600 watts will run that pc easy.

First you need a decent CPU cooler before you overclock, no the stock cooler will not work.
Stop playing with the MHz.
Eaisest way to overclock that is (after getting a decent cooler like a hyper 212 EVO) change the multiplier to 40 and set your Vcore voltage to 1.22 volts then go from their.
