I'm buying a surface pro 3 i7 512 gb does it have a DVD slo and is it a tablet or pc so can I download steam and mimecraft or is it like Nokia Lumina able?

Here's MineCraft played on a Surface Pro 3 (core i5-4210u). The person is using software to record so actual performance will be higher. The Optifine Mod can be used to improve performance.

Here's a channel that is basically devoted to playing games on the Surface Pro 2 (Core i5-4200u / Intel HD 4400). But it also includes games played on the Surface Pro 3 (Core i7-4650u / Intel HD 5000). And more recently games played on an Intel NUC (i7-5557U / Intel HD 6100) which is a little bare bones desktop PC which you put together yourself that more or less fits in the palm of your hand. All video are recorded with a capture device (Hauppauge HD PVR Rocket) so you are seeing the actual performance...

Its like a tablet but running full Windows. You can download Steam but not sure how well Minecraft will play on it. It does not have a dvd drive but you can connect an external USB drive

I have the non pro Surface 3 128gb version and think its brilliant, makes the iPad and Android tablets we have in the house seem incredibly outdates. I can actually stream games from my gaming PC to the Surface using Steam and there is minimal lag.
