psu for reference r9 290 crossfire

Solution
I put your system in a couple of watt calculators and they all showed pretty much 650-700 watt. The safe option would be to go with a 850Watt PSU although a 750 would be good. But if I was you I would go with: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438018&cm_re=evga_supernova_850_g2-_-17-438-018-_-Product

That is a Tier 1 Power supply therefore you should be more than fine. In my opinion the PSU is the first think you need to invest a little bit more money on because if it's bad it will fry all your other components and then you'll need a new PC lol

Which exact PSU are you planning on, 880w is an odd wattage. The quality of the PSU is just as important as the wattage. The other thing you need to check is the max Amps on the 12v rail.

The PSU is the most important component in the pc so no point in getting one which will be stressed out. Also a PSU of higher wattage should be able to cool itself easier at lower fan rpm, some now dont start their fan until a certain % of usage
