Randomly running across SSD benchmarks, I decided to check out the performance of my own SSD. I noticed slow speeds across the board and noticed someone mentioning to turn on rapid mode. I tried that and now I'm getting extremely high speeds. High enough for me to be somewhat worried.
First test done without rapid mode: Random Read- 57159, Random Write - 20579, Sequential Read - 293 MB/s, Sequential Write - 277 MB/s
Test done after enabling rapid mode and restarting: Random Read - 255712, Random Write - 180823, Sequential Read - 6379 MB/s, Sequential Write - 5783 MB/s
These tests were performed with the Samsung Magician software. I also checked with AS SSD with somewhat similar results.
Is there something I should worry about with the high reported speeds? Possibility of an error in reporting? Should I disable rapid mode to be safe?
