Hey, guys. I'd previously asked for suggestions on my latest build. I'm currently using a 60" 1080p TV for gaming. Maxing out at 1080p without ever dipping under 60fps, to eliminate frame tearing, is my goal. And I'm also thinking of going for a 4k monitor later when they have better refresh rates. So for right now, will this build max out the most intensive games at 1080p?

Processor - Intel i7-4790K
CPU Cooler- Corsair H100i
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) @ 2400 MHz
Motherboard - MSI Z97 Gaming 7
SSD - Samsung 850 EVO 512 GB
SSHD - Seagate 4 TB Solid State Hybrid Drive
PSU - Corsair Ax860 80+ Platinum, Modular
Case - NZXT H440
GPU - EVGA GTX980 Ti

I'm going for a DDR3 platform because the 4790K still has the best gaming and single core performance, not to mention affordability. And I have very little workstation needs. As for 4K, I'm thinking of getting another 980ti and SLI-ing it.

So let me know what you guys think. Would a 980ti be overkill for a 1080p config? I've read that the card does sometimes strain even at 1080p.
