How to have one wireless network name with multiple access points?

I'm trying to set up a network for my church that will use multiple access points but have the same wireless name and password. I didn't think it's possible but some of my reading seems to indicate it is. How can I do this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can set them up with all the same SSID and passwords - but it does make it difficult to troubleshoot. Each access point would need unique IP addresses and one router would have to be the DHCP/DNS server for the network. I would suggest an initial setup with different SSIDs (you can use the same password) just to make sure everything is working right. An example would be "AP-1", "AP-2", "AP-3", etc., and then try to connect with a wireless device moving around the facility.

After you verify that everything is working properly, simply change the SSIDs on the AP's to be the same....and everything should work. If you ever have to troubleshoot the network, I would change them back to different SSIDs and test....

Thanks for the quick reply.

Would devices switch between them seamlessly? What I've been reading says this can be a problem. My major concern is that people will have to connect to different SSIDs as they move through the building.

It depends upon the device. Some devices will stay on a specific AP until it is disconnected, then it tries new APs. Others will constantly search for the strongest signal. Theoretically, if you have the same SSID and password for all APs, both of these examples should switch when it is indicated by the device. If you had 5 AP's with different SSIDs (AP-1 to AP-5) and setup the passwords for all of them, you could see when the different devices would switch. If the SSIDs are the same, you wouldn't know when they switched....
