PSU: XFX Black Edition XTR 550W 80+ Gold
CPU: i5 4690K
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970
MOBO: MSI Z97 Gaming 3
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro

I'm going to buy a $45 CPU cooler. I'm also going to buy at least 2 of 140mm fans and place them at the top and leave the 200mm one in the front or switch them the other way round.

I'm going to do some oc just enough for long term everyday use.
Are those fans and PSU enough for that purpose?

Solution

That PSU is more than enough for your build.
Place the two 140mm on the top. Leave the 200mm in its default front position.

Simple air flow guide - The black box in the case denotes bottom mounted PSU. Adding another 140mm at the bottom is absolutely optional. You decide on that...
