i got a budget of 350 and i wanna spend it on the gpu side. should i get another r9 290x and have 2 in crossfire? or should i get a upgrade of the gtx 970 or the r9 390? becuase these cards are in my price range..........3rd option is upgrade my i5 4690 to a i7?
should just pick up another r9 290x? or upgrade to gtx 970 or r9 390?

The GTX 970 and R9 390 is not an upgrade. The R9 390 is a tweaked rebrand of the R9 290 and the GTX 970 offers identical performance to a R9 290X.
If you going for a R9 290X crossfire build, you want a decent 1000W psu.
