Is this a good SSD?: Transcend Information 512 GB TS512GSSD370

I'm in the market for a new SSD and this one is relatively cheap at only $175. It seems a little to good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with the SSD and know if it's really a good one. As in, compared to SSD's like Intel, Samsung, etc., how does it compare?

You are looking at the Transcend SSD370 2.5 inch SATA 3 6Gb/s solid state drive. It is classified as a value or entry level ssd. Although it is not a high end drive, the performance is respectable. Technical reviews were favorable.

I maintain an ssd database listed in a sticky at the very top of this forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the SATA 3 section and look for the Transcend SD370 or any other ssd you might be interested in. Follow the links to the technical reviews.
