Hey everyone. I've recently bought a new i7 4790k. I'm having over heating problems with it. It's running at about 35c at idle, and gets to 98c after about 5 minutes of gaming. I've reapplied thermal paste and reset the heat sink, and it's
Still over heating, I'm not OC'ed, and using the stock heat sink. Any ideas what's causing this?

Turns out the temp is fine. I downloaded he monitore and core temp, both of their readings arwsugnuficantly less then speed fan was showing me. Now if I can only figure out why it keeps crashing on me while gaming. The weird thing is it stopped happening when I hooked up a second fan to the mono so 2 CPU fans where's attached. Then when I took it out it started crashing again. It's a old fan that I doubt is helping much of anything. Is there a chance s my asrock fatal1ty z97 was causing the crash with only one "CPU" fan attached? I noticed in the Bios it had a section for CPU FAN 1&2. Sounds crazy but was it trying to adjust something with fan 2 and then franking out when it couldn't?
