Hello.
I made a post a few weeks ago about my computer freezing after less than a minute of playing a game but I didn't have an original copy of windows, so people told me that first of all I should get an original copy of windows. So now I got an original copy and gave somebody my computer for him to test it. And he sent me a video testing the PSU right before the computer crashed

Here is the video:

You just need to watch from minute 2:55 where you can see the voltage drop.
Do you think that the pc freezes because of that?

The gpu is a radeon r9 280x
the PSU is a cheap ezcool 800w
and i have intel core i7 3770

If you need more information just ask me for it.
Thank you.

Yes I think I will. But the problem is that I tried a better psu in a store, specifically a thermaltake smart 650w i think, which is 80 bronze, Aad the pc freezed. That's why I'm not sure if the psu is the problem, and I want to make sure that the voltage drop is making my pc lock.

Those voltages are still in spec. The drop isn't even that much. Where did he plug in to get the readings?

I'd replace the PSU simply because I don't trust that one. There is a chance however that it won't solve anything other then getting rid of the fire hazard. Can your friend test with his PSU?

He will do that. He will test it with another PSU. I hope it works. I don't know where did he plug in the multimeter.
I'll post tomorrow the results with the new PSU.
