What could cause wifi out of range?

I have a Samsung XE303c12 chromebook. I have been working a lot with Chrome to establish any software/router configuration issues. Nothing has been resolved in that fashion, so I'm moving onto hardware.

I was wondering what could cause an 'out of range' issue to suddenly occur on ALL networks regardless of range distance and frequency? I have replaced the wifi card within the unit and that did not resolve the issue. The antenna cables seem fully intact as well (I've removed and place them back and checked for gunk). I'm essentially running out of ideas. It all began suddenly without any warning.

I was hoping that someone might have insight on this issue or even give me directions as to what else I can research.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, but I can assure that it isn't the router. I've taken this to school, work and home and have exposed it to roughly 7 different signals, but all are out of range. I even bought a dual channel router to have access to a 5ghz signal, but that still didn't solve it.

Considering it was working fine, could the cables really just go out without any force? It wasn't dropped or anything. But I unplugged and plugged the internal antenna cables within the chromebook and that didn't solve it.

It does work with ethernet (has to use a USB-Ethernet converter)
My router and all other signals I used work with all my other devices as well as my Acer c720 chhromebook. The problem really is isolated to just this chromebook and I'm beginning to think hardware, though I don't know what could have gone bad since the wifi card didn't solve it.

As far as I'm aware of and through all my troubleshooting, I am pretty sure there is no version of a Device Manager within Chrome OS. I also can't update anything individually because I guess Chromebooks update their individual devices when Chrome releases new OS versions. So there isn't any way for me to personally update a hardware item. I've even updated to the current developer version of the OS which pushes updates sooner. It's updated about 4 times since the issue began and it hasn't gotten any better.

Well the goal here is to troubleshoot whatever hardware issue this could be since my experience working with Chrome tech has pretty much ruled out any software issue. We bought this 2nd hand got a week out of it before it did this. Samsung wasn't any help and they want it sent in for servicing... which it wouldn't be within warranty anymore so it isn't work sending. So I'm fixing it myself and came here for ideas.

I've attempted an usb/wifi adapter and it requires driver installations, which chrome os couldn't handle.
Obviously I could continue to use the ethernet or just buy a new chromebook, but that defeats the purpose of this thread. I'm looking to troubleshoot the hardware problem on a parts-based level since I've already troubleshot the issue on a software level with Chrome tech support. I've already exhausted all help on google with somewhat similar issues, and they were no help at all.
