hi, so i am planning to get my 2nd SSD soon,
My Current SSD Is Samsung 840 EVO 250gb
I am planning to get Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
- so first of all, can i put them both in RAID 0 ? despire them being different generations?
My motherboard is : Asus Maximus VI Hero
and Also, Ive read somewhere that my MOBO have all Sata's goin thro same channel, so i cant put my 2TB HDD ? is that true or is it possible

Solution
It isn't recommended to use different models of drives but it should work.

Plug them all into a SATA port, go into BIOS and RAID the two SSDs, that will be fine.

Your interface limited more than anything. Should work just fine. Sata will limit the speed not the ssd's. Make sure you back up what ever you have on the drive before you set it up in raid 0, it will effectively erase the drive as soon as you put it in raid.
